Hi, I’m Emily 🤍
Cradle Catholic. Homeschool mom. Married to my high school sweetheart. We live on five acres in rural New Hampshire. I have a degree in music education with a minor in psychology — which mostly means I am obsessed with why people do what they do and what makes a person feel alive.
I'm the oldest of four kids, convinced I can do everything by myself, and it wasn’t until my thirties that I was diagnosed with ADHD. I am now properly medicated and I'm actively working on setting up a blind date between me and the person other people think I am.
I built Studio for the Soul after I had facilitated three rounds of The Artist’s Way and realized that there are women out there like me - women who believe that God is for them, but have a complicated relationship with the faith, deeply blocked creativity, and need a framework to discern their unique gifts and redefine what “success” looks like in their lives.
And here’s the thing - we weren’t meant to do any of this alone.
Humans only make sense in context. We are wired for community, and so much of life is discovering who we are when we are needed, when our weaknesses require the strengths of others, and when our rough edges are slowly rubbed smooth.
That’s what The Studio is - a community. We are creative, though not necessarily artists. Passionate, but not necessarily organized. Trying, but not there yet.
Let’s help each other get closer.
